This amazing piece, from the great Costacos Brothers, commemorates the Bayou's surprise sensation of the 1986 season, Rueben Mayes. A little-known running back from Canada drafted in the third round out of Washington State, Mayes came to the Superdome with no expectations. By the end of the season, he was named Offensive Rookie of the Year, played in the Pro Bowl, and continued on as a fan-favorite in New Orleans. His speed was so unbelievable...he could out-race a speeding bullet! A vintage original preserved in its original condition for decades now, this takes you right back to the golden era of sports posters, when creative photo shoots combined with superstar talent, meant the best sports posters in history.
