Here it is, the one you've been waiting for! This is the historic Lance Parrish "Tiger Catcher" Nike poster, published in 1983, when the Detroit Tigers were on their way to dominance, Lance was the best catcher in the American League, and Nike posters were unbelievably awesome! This was the heyday of Nike's poster line, when the quality of their sponsored athletes was second-to-none, and their poster designers were endlessly creative. This one sets up Detroit's strong-armed backstop in a play of words off his position as "Tigers Catcher", featuring him literally catching an actual tiger on a ball field - with shin pads on, no less (and yes, we have confirmed with the photographer Bill Sumner, that Lance actually posed live with a real 700lb Bengal Tiger)! The picture says it all - need we say more?
We were luck enough to obtain this one in a large closeout lot of old Nike posters, and it is in spectacularly good condition. Never hung on a wall! No fading, no tape, no creases, tears, just some minor damage to the bottom edge. You KNOW this one doesn't come along very often, especially in original condition like this, so don't miss out - only one available.
