Calgary Flames
This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, captures the action of the Calgary Flames playing at their hometown arena. Founded in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1972, the team was known as the Atlanta Flames until moving to Calgary in 1980. The club is the third major professional ice hockey team to represent the city of Calgary, following the Calgary Tigers (1921–27) and the Calgary Cowboys (1975–77). The club was named after the famous fire of Atlanta started by General William Tecumseh Sherman in 1864. The fire was considered the beginning of the end of the Civil War and destroyed the key southern city of Atlanta. Upon moving to Calgary, the team kept the name in honor of the city's oil industry.

A must for any true Flames hockey fan! Printed in brilliant color and perfect focus on high-quality print stock, and complete with a sharp white border that includes the official team logo, the commemorative title, and a brief descriptive paragraph, this Saddledome game night panorama is both a beauty for the wall, and a great collector's item for years to come. Perfect for the wall of home, office, locker room or classroom!
