This DVD set features a 46-minute feature produced during the 2003-04 season, profiling four NHL tough guys: long-time enforcer Jim McKenzie (Hartford Whalers, New Jersey Devils, Nashville Predators); scrappy agitator Ian Laperriere (Los Angeles Kings); bruising defenseman Eric Cairns (New York Islanders); and fan-favorite blood-and-guts superstar Darren McCarty (Detroit Red Wings). For fans of these players, this provides an interesting behind-the-scenes look at their lives through rare archival footage and exclusive interview segments. However, we recommend this item for fans of these players only, and for those of you who wish to collect every official NHL DVD release. For those passionate about the physical side of hockey, stick with the Don Cherry Collection - this production will only infuriate you. We'll leave it at this: there are many clips of fights about to break out, but not a single clip of a landed punch! This lazy production from the NHL's in-house studio features not a single moment of bonus material in the special features section. Disc 2 is a music-only CD featuring hard-rock tunes from the bands Distrubed, Trapt, Static X, Dark New Day, and Bloodsimple.
