A classic piece of Americana, from a classic era in San Diego sports history! This was Chargers style, circa 1966 - the blue-bolts of Southern California who thrilled fans of the AFL with their high-flying offensive style. From the era of John Hadl, Lance Alworth, Paul Lowe, Speedy Duncan, Kenny Graham, and all the rest of that loveable bunch. A rare poster from the earliest days of Chargers football, and part of the earliest full-sized (two-feet-by-three-feet) sports poster series ever published! All NFL and AFL teams of the era were published in this series, which features bold, colorful artwork and a simple black-and-white team title along the bottom - great 1960s style that will bring back a flood of memories. These posters pre-date the more well-known NFL Collectors Series (sold through Sports Illustrated) by a couple of years, and are much more difficult to find! We have obtained a very limited quantity of some of the teams from this series, still in their original wrappers from 1966. Grab it now if you need it, don't miss out!
