Kansas City Chiefs

This panorama, taken by James Blakeway, spotlights the Kansas City Chiefs playing their home opener at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs successfully held off the Dallas Cowboys in the final quarter of the game to preserve a 17-16 victory. The game began in historic fashion with the Chiefs donned in all-red outfits, for the first time in franchise history. The capacity crowd roared when the team ran onto the field in their new red uniforms, a departure from traditional white pants and to signify the start of a new era, with a new coach and a new quarterback. In 1969, the Chiefs became the only club in AFL history to win three AFL Championships.

The start of a season of great expectations, under a beautiful blue prairie sky, and an opening-day win for red KC...it doesn't get any better than this! From the action on the field below, to the ecstatic crowd, to the scoreboards, video screens, and unique architecture of the freshly-renovated Arrowhead Stadium, it's all here - the entire scene from the September 15, 2013 home opener, a hometown 17-16 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, looking absolutely fantastic for your wall. Printed in brilliant color and perfect focus on high-quality paper stock, and complete with a sharp white border that includes the official team logo and a brief descriptive paragraph, this is both a beauty for the wall of home or office, and a great collector's item for years to come. Perfect for the wall of any fan of Chiefs football and big-time NFL action!
