Eastern Washington University - Roos Field

This panorama, taken by Christopher Gjevre, captures the action of the Eastern Washington University football team playing their inaugural game on new red turf at Roos Field. The newly named Roos Field played host to Big Sky Conference Rival, the University of Montana Grizzlies. In the last four seconds of the game, the Eagles iced it on the final play with a 34-yard fumble return for a touchdown and one of the greatest victories in school history. The 18th-ranked Eagles knocked off the 6th-ranked Grizzlies for a final score of 36-27. Roos Field, originally built in 1967, is located in Cheney, Washington and is the first college football field with a red playing surface.

Welcome to the most unique home field in the nation! This spectacular print features the scene on September 18, 2010, as the Eagles opened up the new field in style with a huge victory. From the action on the field below, to the ecstatic red-clad crowd, to the scoreboards, the surrounding landscape, and the new red turf, it's all here, looking absolutely fantastic for your wall. Printed in brilliant color and perfect focus on high-quality paper stock, and complete with a sharp white border that includes the official team logo and a brief descriptive paragraph, this is both a beauty for the wall of home or office, and a great collector's item for years to come. Perfect for the wall of any fan of EWU football!
